Edifice Construction wins coveted Master Builders Victoria award

We were thrilled to receive a Best Renovation/Addition award for our Scandinavian pool house extension in central Castlemaine at the recent 2021 Master Builders Victoria, North West Regional Building Awards.

The Master Builders Excellence in Construction, Housing and Regional Building Awards are held annually, celebrating the exceptional craftsmanship and achievements of members throughout Victoria.

“It’s great recognition for the team of hardworking carpenters, subcontractors and suppliers who worked on the project and a wonderful way to see in our fifth year in business,” says Edifice Construction, Business Manager Ellissia Campbell.

“This home is all about simple solutions, exceptionally well executed,” says Ellissia.

“Our clients love to entertain and valued aesthetics over everything. Family connections in Copenhagen played a part in the new property’s distinctly Scandinavian design, which favours clean, simple lines and functionality, without sacrificing beauty.”

Once a tiny, run-down two-bedroom cottage, the owners were charmed by the property’s facade and its history and opted to retain rather than demolish it. Clever partitioning now separates the original property from the modern, Scandinavian-inspired extension which opens to a stunning outdoor living area including a pool and landscaped gardens.

Features abound, including Cemintel Barestone™ External prefinished panels, Binq double glazed windows and a suspended fireplace, designed by world-renowned French brand Focus.

“We developed an excellent relationship with our clients, who lived onsite, over the nine months of the build,” says Ellissia.

“They are extremely happy with their new home and equally pleased that it has been recognised by our industry as an example of exceptional workmanship.”
