In 2022, our regional business was recognised as Australia’s best at the Master Builders National Business Excellence Awards in Melbourne, where we were awarded Small Residential Building Business of the Year.
The judges noted the combined passion, expertise, and experience of our founders and team, who actively prioritise business excellence. Rigorous criteria acknowledged the quality of building work, strong customer and supplier relations, and Edifice’s astute project and financial management.
In 2022, Edifice was approached by television producers to be a part of the national television program, ‘Australia’s Best House.’ Maybe you saw us on the telly!
The producers had seen our excellence showcased on our social media feed and invited us to be a part of the series. Season two was broadcast on Channel Nine. Our showcased project was voted the Best Family Home.
This classic 1960s bungalow was given a full reno to create a contemporary and unique home. The original home’s footprint remains, transformed into a modern wonder.
An insulated suspended concrete slab was poured to add an expansive, open living space with a kitchen, dining and study and two additional bedrooms, adjacent to abundant outdoor entertaining. Edifice Construction’s work was acknowledged by the MBAV as 2022’s Best Renovation/Addition over $500,000.

The owners of this Castlemaine home, once a tiny, run-down two-bedroom cottage, were charmed by the property’s façade and history. They wanted to retain the existing house, opting for a contemporary extension rather than demolition.
Edifice delivered a Scandinavian-inspired revamp that won the category award for the 2021 MBAV North West Regional Best Renovation/Addition $300-$500K.

This was our first win on the board, back in 2019. As a decidedly local business, we were chuffed to be recognised by our local shire council as its Manufacturing, Construction and Trade Award Winner, only four years after our business began.
We were proud to showcase how it is possible to grow a profitable family business from scratch, founded on ethical principles, community values and family friendly flexibility.
